this is another signal that our infrastructure is desperately under resourced and that we've got an energy problem? you know, a real crisis that is facing the country? what are your proposals? >> well, i tell you, when it comes to reliability, all you need to do is ask those millions of americans who were focused on the game last night and all of a sudden it wasn't there. so as we look to energy and the key role that it plays in a secure economy, i think you immediate to look no further than the inconvenience that people felt last night. we rolled out an energy proposal this morning that we've been working on for well over a year, and the basic premise is energy is good. pretty simple. manager is good. it's necessary. it defines who we are as a nation. what i am working towards is a proposal that gets under the circumstances to a policy that is affordable, it's abundant, it's clean, it's diverse, and it's secure. if we can work towards all those things, we actually get to a better climate, a better environment. just a place where we are stronger as a nation, and where we're cleaner environmentally

sliding eastward. you can see this approaching cold front. most of the energy from this one going to keep the rain well to the north of the bay area. maybe clipping far northern california but otherwise, looks like these temperatures are going to stay down. more clouds on the way, some cool conditions. staying dry for today. but then as we get into the latter part of the week we have this guy that's just developing out there in the pacific. that could bring some showers, maybe even some snow to the local mountains. computer models showing low clouds early on stretching onshore. high clouds in the skies from the cold front moving on through but staying dry. and then toward the afternoon, couple of more clouds becoming more broken as you have some colder air that will likely filter in. but otherwise we are going to keep these things down along the coastline. only 54 degrees in monterey. a chance of a few cold showers and 51 degrees in eureka. you will see some 60s and sunshine in the central valley. and around our bay we'll keep those numbers cool

and here it is. you see most of the energy headed over the top of this ridge means it's going to stay north of the bay area for the most part except for a few high clouds and it's going to help to reinforce the low clouds and fog and keep us pretty gray especially toward the beaches. so more clouds and cool and going to be staying dry for now. but that's going to change of you have this system off the coastline that will be dropping into the bay area on thursday and friday. i think that's our best chance of getting some showers here in the bay area this week. all right. we have some low clouds stretching onshore this morning. computer models trying to break that up a bit. but you see cloud even toward the middle of the day and in the afternoon we'll see some cloud continuing outside so the cool temperatures going to continue, as well. we'll keep those highs generally cool coastside only about 54 degrees in monterey. rain in toward eureka. 60s in the central valley sunshine there, and 40s and 50s in the high country. around the bay 57 degrees. cool
